3-Night / 4-Day Sample Guest Itinerary
1st Day: Guests depart Ketchikan at approximately 12:30 p.m. by float plane to
Waterfall Resort, and are given a "fantasy island" style of greeting by the
resort manager and staff. Shortly after the guests check in they will take off for an
afternoon of trophy fishing. Lunch is provided aboard the cabin cruiser. All guests return
to the resort by 5:00 p.m., whereupon their catches are unloaded, and photograph
opportunities are available. The fish are transported to the processing area for cleaning,
cutting and vacuum-packing. Dinner, featuring Alaskan cuisine, is served in the dining
room from 6:00 until 8:00. Other evening activities may include a hike to the waterfall,
relaxation in our guest lounge, or perhaps a game of pool.
2nd Day: Breakfast
begins at 6:00 am. daily, and includes coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruits, homemade baked
goods, and eggs cooked any style. Your guide is ready to set out when you are. Most guests
are gone by 7: 00 am. to begin a full day of fishing. You and your guide work together as
you learn about King Salmon and Halibut fishing, Alaskan-style.
You return to the resort at 5:00p.m. to hang up your day's catch. Before dinner you
might pick up that novel you have been waiting to finish, sit on the dock and enjoy the
evening sun.
3rd Day: You are off to another full day of fishing. Maybe today you will land a
King Salmon large enough to make the ladder board for the $100,000 KING OF KINGS SALMON TO
TOURNAMENT and the chance to win prizes from Princess Cruises, Ford Motors, Eddie Bauer,
and Waterfall Resort.
4th Day: Departure day for the 3-night programs. You fish a few hours and are
back before 10:00 AM. to clean the morning's catch and prepare for the trip home. Lunch is
available before the float plane arrives. Your Alaska Airlines seat has been assigned
Luggage and fish boxes are already tagged so there will be no check-in at the airport.
Everything has been taken care of for you. |
